Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Quick question... Or maybe not so quick... Should I doing anything special for the duck that is all bloody? I cleaned his beak off, he had blood covering his nostrils. They are clear now and he seems fine still. Should I get his head out or anything? I had to make a sizable hole to get him clear breathing space and clean him off as much as I could. I was very careful to make sure there weren't any veins that I was damaging more. And I am keeping it moist with a cloth around the opening. Any other tips?

I TRIED, I TRIED GUYS.  A fox came in the yard and was STARING down my calls, they were smart, they went Right into the coop minutes before the Fox arrived.

I saw him and ran out with my jack Russel scream "WHAT IS YOUR SOUND?  WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY?:  needless to say he did NOT answer me so the Mystery CONTINUES...

GRRR, Ill get that sound alright, even if I have to catch him myself!!!!

Talking to the fox? What sound, and why? If he is taking your ducks, you might try a live animal trap. You could relocate him to a nicer place, far away from your ducks.

I just put 10 more eggs into lockdown. Have 9 that will lockdown Thursday. Everybody's wiggling and looking good! Fingers crossed! These are all mixed colors so should be exciting to see what hatches.

Well, the upside downer is still in the egg. Slowed down a bit overnight. And the duckling that was covered in blood is out! That is the opposite of what I expected!

I have no idea what I'm actually hatching here. I am told that they are mallards, but the adults are all very small.
