Call Ducks Finally Hatched

They are really cute. This is my next breed of duck. Hoping to get some next year.

Sometimes you can buy them off ebay because some call ducks lay all year in warmer states like florida or california.

I have heard duckhousedogs has good call duck but they can be a but pricy, but worth it.

I had 12 Call Duck eggs but only 2 hatched. The other 10 had thick shells and very tough membranes. What did I do wrong?

If the membranes were tough, it sounds like low humidity. Also I hate to say it, but call ducks often need help with hatching. Ask Lacrystol, she's a pro at it. If not for her advice I don't think I'd have hatched 2 of my 3 eggs like I did. And according to the breeder I bought the eggs from, a 66% hatch rate is phenomenal when it comes to call duck eggs.
