Call Ducks Finally Hatched

Ok, Maybe I might..... I meant to put them in the bator sooner but those ducks that died were in it and my bator wasn't set up. My dad builds robots maybe he can build me one to take care of emus? lol

Okay, so your initial dates were off - does that mean your plan was to hatch the babies out and then leave for a 3-day weekend while they were still in infancy? Or did you just not know about this vacation until recently?

Also I spoke to my husband, who just woke up - yeah, I know - and apparently he knows a little bit about emus. He's a born and bred Texan, his neighbor raised 'em. Apparently emus are a big thing there, who knew. Anyhow, he said that as adults they're actually fairly easy to care for, which is weird considering they're basically dinosaurs. Okay, maybe scratch "basically", they're gallimimus, let's face it. But they're also very good parents, and they're cared for from birth by the dominant male...in this case, you. They stay with the dad for a long time and form a close bond, so it's important that you stick around!

The person I bought them from told me they take 60 days which mean they would hatch 2 days after I get back from vacation. But I checked again and they actually only take 52 days so they will hatch smack dab on the day I leave. I plan to have it live with me until it gets to big it cant. I am already working on making it a harness. You have a house call duck. I will have a house dinosaur!

I didn't know you planned on giving it away!
