Call Ducks Finally Hatched

I got some eggs from @clousert when I lost about 10 calls, they just took off and never returned, she was sooooooo KIND to send me some eggs. I can't remember exactly how many I hatched out but I still have them..  I apparently keep all my babies if they come from someone else, the only time I will sell them off is if my current flock has eggs.  Then I will pop them in the bator but all the old folks (46 calls now)  they are here to stay.

I'm still waiting for ONE of them to POP out a magpie, I know it's coming, I KNOW IT IS..  :fl

She is really awesome... so is mini... and you... heck, everyone her is!! ;)

I've kept all I hatched from others too, lol... in fact, Crash was hatched from clouserts eggs and she laid her very first egg on Christmas morning, lol...

Hope you get your magpie! :fl

I HEAR YOU.  My husband is regreting the fact that he allowed a HAWK to kill and eat one of my hens (chicken)  He thought if he let him eat her, he would stay away for a while.
YEH RIGHT, now the hawk has made guard way.  YEH, when my husband goes out there to chase him off, The hawk will NOT leave and put up his GUARD..

Husband against Hawk?  WHO will win LOL

Our issue is owls... nasty buggers... hawks seem to steer clear of our area for some reason... :gig

Miss Lydia, you know I loves ya and all... and have much respect for you... and I really do appreciate your sharing spirit and the offer... but I would much rather you don't share those with me... :gig

The owls have been devastating enough...

Well I might consider it since owls are usually only out at night and everyone is locked away. I love to hear owls hoot. We use to have the great horned until the neighbors had the mountain logged of all the old huge trees. Now we just have screech owls or those are only the ones I hear anyway. Now we only have to figure out how to get the hawks to you and the owls to me
any suggestions..

and @WVduckchick when you target practice you aren't shooting up in the air

or is that how it is done in WV?

We're surrounded by several species of owls, can't remember right now which ones... but they are relentless, methodical and extremely smart... I don't wish these ones on anybody, really... I think we have finally gotten secure from them, but I still won't let my guard down...
