Cute...Buddies.
My Big Dogs love the Snow. Only thing is cold feet in temps this low..Awesome you take in rescues..My Mini was a rescue.
It really is and i love doing it~ He was from a breeder that had 37 horses that were all under fed and crammed into one hip shed... they barely had half an acre to roam about in and were contently getting out all the time so we took him and named him chester, we also bought another one with him named sunny who had a very large growth under her jaw and many other health issues. We ended up putting her down sadly so thats when chester really bonded with our pony named Baby. I'd love to see your mini! i've always wanted a mini pony. I fell in love with my cousin's all black with a little bit of a brown muzzled mini pony who is just the sweetest~

Mine is Named Teddy..He will be four and was never handled. A young girl bought him from an auction and could not train the fear out of him..I took him in. He is a lot better. Plus sold all my Big Hores and only kept my Arabian gelding. I trained and ride him. Kupid is very forward and a blast to ride..He is going to be 17 years old.
I posted pictures of them here on this thread..I'll send another..

Cute horses! love your mini's coloring, That how i prefer horses/ponies to look.. a nice dark coat with lighter colors on their muzzles and legs. All of the horses at home are pasture horses. I've got a very small thoroughbred mare named Ally I board who I ride English on. She loves to jump and does it pretty well.. It's just a little more difficult to stop her once she gets going if you're not use to her yet. But besides that she's a great horse to ride.

i've tried western before, I was pretty good at barrel racing but not much else.. Soi switched over to English and had gotten used to it pretty fast.. i'm working my way up to the 4' jumps but for now i'm still working on try to do 3' jumps without knocking over the polls or leaning into a two-point too much and almost sliding right off the neck... It doesn't help that my horse Really gets into the jump.. She has a pretty big jump and canters really fast when she lands... She calms down of course but it's pretty exciting jumping jumps with her.

That one Dark Horse is Esther she is a Mustang/Arab/QH
Sold her because she hates Geldings..
Really? that's weird.. just any gelding or like one in particular?

Kupid was started English but he was fearful of total contact..Bought him when he was 7 and went Western with him and he excelled..Jumping would be fun although Kupid had other plans..He was a bolter and very stubborn...We made many miles to get him fantastic..

Esther hates all gelding and has too many heat cycles..Always nasty.

Ah that makes sense... a horse in heat is a nightmare to me... i'd rather deal with a donkey considering my experience with horses in season..
