Update on the duck/ducklings: she won't eat...or drink...at all. I forced her to eat 2 figs(I know they aren't great for her but that is all she would eat) she drank lots of water when I gave her a cup of it. I opened the coop(which I had blocked off from the other ducks) b/c maybe they will get her off the nest for a while. She also seems to shake a lot I am really afraid she is going to starve to death...unless this is just how broody's are...? No sign of ducklings yet....but I am kinda past that right now and am just worried about mama.

OH I was she just would not eat so today I held it in my hand and let her eat out of eat. Her food and water are right beside her she just won't get off... I have to bring it to her...in my hands.

Not good. I think you should CANDLE NOW and toss all dead eggs - do it for your hen's well-being.

Phoebe is more outgoing so will be better for kids.
