Calling all APA and/or ABA breeders!

Here’s a question about exhibiting...I figured it wasn’t worth creating a whole other thread, but I might later if need be.
I’ve seen people use purple dog shampoo or toning shampoo for people to brighten or whiten light colored or white chickens. Does anyone do this and have a recommended brand? Thinking of trying it if we ever have a show again.
On the rare occasion that I use whitening shampoo, I use Synergy Labs.

I always liked the Quic Silver brand for horses. Most livestock stores will carry it.

When we showed Silkies, we used the regular livestock bluing we had for the Guernseys. It worked well for us and we had no ill effects. I believe Mane and Tail puts one out, now.

Love to see some pictures, Florida!

For the American game bantam, I

started with this:

A5DE26DA-A071-4720-95CE-FB0A322531F7.jpeg

Then I revised to this:

F39BAADE-0494-458E-B10A-A67BC841D64E.jpeg

Which I think is pretty darn close to this:
F7DA9D74-7766-4ECE-8344-7042A4A8F094.jpeg

But is too large, where the standard calls for 1.8lbs and the above stag is at 3lbs with room to grow.

So now I’m here:

This guy should size out right. He is very young so I’m excited to see what he looks like when he fills out. He has lost one sickle feather to fighting with his brother but I just separated them so that should be the last time that happens.

I’ll post my JF later.

They are just beautiful, in the painting I don’t see much of a comb, are they traditionally dubbed?
