We have snow here! It's one inch but that's huge for the south! Woohoo! The bad part is, that two of my girls have frostbite, and then I'll only have two left so for the next week or so they'll all be living in the garage getting treated...

I hope everybody's has had a Wonderful Christmas. I got my Brinsea Oct20 with cradle & I won an auction on here for some Delaware hatching eggs & I think they're gonna ship Tuesday. I'm gonna go ahead & try my Brinsea out but I still want to hatch off with everyone when a date is set. I will let ya'll know how the first hatch goes.

Yep, I've got three Delaware hens that are about 2yrs. old. They are the calmest chickens I have next to one Copper Maran X Cochin hen, she acts more like a dog than a chicken, follows me everywhere & when I sit down, she's the first one on my lap, lol.

Good luck! Dellies! That is great. You will LOVE them.

I just ordered mine from E-bay. Brinsea was out of stock. I got the eco 20 auto egg turner for$ 213.00 shipping included .So, hopefully I can join in. I'll be hatching my pullets eggs. I've already built a 330 sq. foot coop & run. I need 25 hens, no roos. Dang, should of gotten a bigger bator. One thing I thoght I'd learned was chicken math . O well one thing is for sure I built a big Arse coop. Middle of January Ok. Book em Dano!! I also have a freinds bator so I'm gonna go with 50 eggs all RIR'S are whatever they are. They look like RIR"S to me but the pro's say their not who knows who cares they lay eggs everyday so Yee Haw. I'm pumped please don't start without me LOL. You'll be sorry.

Am I the only one who is not impressed with my brinsea eco. ? I don't like not having individual egg holders. Keeping the humidity up is a hassle and if you over fill, it's a spill and a mess. It does not hold enough eggs. I like my hovabator 1588 with 1610 turner. Hold temp & humidity well holds more eggs, easy to clean, harder to make a mess by overfilling.
Sorry, that's how I feel

O NO!!!! I just ordered mine . I figured they were top of the line. Alot of people seem to use them. Just on this thread alone. Please tell me I did the right thing. 24 eggs at a time is ok with me. I'm just starting this venture.

Hi. I have the Eco have only had two hatches..wonderful..especially after using two LGs for years..if I can locate eggs before the 1st I would like to join..I am going to a poultry show on the 8-9th and will be able to get eggs then but that will put me a week behind..if this happens I'll lurk until the next hatch a long.
