Finally got a chance to set my eggs for the February hatch. I stacked again like I did in January but added a few more eggs. In January I set 35 eggs, 28 made it to lock down (most I couldn't see through) and 21 hatched.

So here is my set for February...

7 Blue Copper/Splash Marans from Nadine
5 Silver Ameraucanas from Muggsmagee
3 Buff Ameraucana from Muggsmagee
23 Lavender Wheaten Ameraucana Project eggs

So the grand total 38 eggs in my ECO, 14 are stacked on top.

why did I set more....It has been darn cold here so I am expecting a bunch not to develop. Once I candle on day 7, I will do some rearranging.....my guess for this months hatch 23.

here are my not so great pics. Have glare from the room light and they kept moving.

As soon as the battery is recharged on the camera I will try to take better pics.

congrats on your hatching chicks! Question, notice you are using an egg carton so the eggs are upright. What works better, eggs on their side or upright in a carton? I was planning on doing mine on their side with a liner in the bottom of the Brinsea.

Thanks!

I am trying the carton for the first time as my last hatch the eggs were rolled around like mad by the first chicks.
So far the local chicks are popping out one after another.
When I left for work this morning 4 were hatched out, 1 in the process of zipping, and 2 with pips.
The last shipped egg is due to hatch by Friday, but I am hoping it will be on the early side.
