Yay my eggies shipped today!!! It will be SO soon and then my first hatch ever!!!

I am IMpatiently waiting for my BCM hen to lay 3 more eggs so I can put 7 in my Brinsea Mini Advance. I've had two hatches from purchased eggs, but this will be my first attempt to hatch my own.

I've been leaving the 3 eggs I have on the kitchen counter in a bowl at room temperature. Is that okay or am I compromising the hatch by keeping them too warm until I put them in the incubator?

Question, after the eggs have past day 21 ( I'm incubating Seramas so only 18 days, lockdown day 16 ) will the incubator turn off or keep going?

Keep going until you unplug it. I have an egg that I suspect will be a late hatcher.​

Incubator arrived today!!!!! It is up and running, and all looks good. In the meantime, I've weighed the eggs and made a few charts to help keep track of what I'm doing. If all runs well tonight, I'll put the eggs in tomorrow.
This is gonna be a great learning experience for all of us! Even my dh is learning new things.

Okay thanks. Another question. We set the eggs in on Thursday afternoon ( almost dark ), and at around 6:00 that night it already said it was the next day! It's been a day off since? Do we just reset it? It's only 14 more days till hatch day...it says only 13 days? Anyone else having Day Count Down Issues?
