Well I pipped open the top of all the remaining eggs 4 were shrink wrapped, 2 were late stage quitters and the remainder look like they died around day 10-14.
So the incubator is cleaned, and drying....guess I'll set eggs tonight for a March hatch.

Here's what's going in...
4 Buff Ameraucanas
12 Blue/Splash Ameraucanas
12 Project Ameraucana eggs

I just set eggs today! Silkies and Polish

This is my first set using the new Brinsea w/humidity pump. I'm hoping for a GREAT hatch!

When the humidity is too low the membrane looks like it has shrink wrapped the chicks. They suffocate.

when you pip the top of the egg make a hole large enough to see in to, if it is shrink wrapped the membrane will be very tight and leathery around the chick.

Here is my entry for the Feb hatch a long. This Silver Laced Wyandotte and Blue Wheaten Ameraucana chicks were my very first hatch ever and were in the Brinsea Octagon Eco 20 on 2-22-2011. The picture was taken with a Samsung SL605 @ 12 megapixels. With the incubator still running and the top intact. The only editing done was to add a black border. This is my entry in the Backyard Chickens Brinsea February Hatch-a-long Contest. We had 18 out of 19 hatch... thank you Brinsea!!!
