Calling All New Brinsea Owners!!! January Hatch-a-long...

Because of the way my eggs are set in the bator I am going to have to remove all the rows to candle and I am afraid their may be some egg causalities so what is your best advice on when to candle? I have snagged a few off the top and checked, two look good and 1 looks like an egg...but I'll wait. Should I just hold off till lockdown?

Much of what I have read says to candle once on day 7 and then again on day 10 or 11.

I candled last night (day 5) and it was clear which ones were doing great, which ones were "blanks," and three we weren't sure about, so we put a question mark on those and put them back in. I will look again on day 7 and 11....I don't want any eggs exploding in my 'bator!

By the way - I have 1 rooster covering 30 hens and of the 21 eggs I started, 13 of them are still going - that's a 62% fertility rate...he's been a very busy boy!

I should be getting Barnie eggs tomorrow! Woot, then I will set 12 hours later. So Is this to late to join the January hatch or should I follow the February hatch instead?
Had a LG still air, then I got the fabulous Brinsea!
