I needed to clean the pen that has my PP in it yesterday. I let them run around the yard when I clean and they usually put them selves to sleep back in the now clean pen. Last evening I went out to close the doors and found the PP pullet up on top of the wooden gate! The others were back roosting in the little coop but not her!
I was going to take a picture, but figured the flash would set her off. She did let me get her down without too much trouble--barely even a scratch. The PP, one blue Marans and an SG Dorking all like to roost outside of their coops at night. My routine now is to hunt them down and then do a count to make sure all of them are back in at night.
I guess I need to get my exercise in some how.....
