I know that this is an old thread,but was curious about the orloffXbuff laced polish cross. Did you ever breed the f2 generation?
Planning on breeding some sizzles this upcoming breeding season in white(white silkieXfrizzled white cochin) blue splash (blue splash silkieX frizzled blue splash cochin) buff(buff silkie X buff cochin) and working on a mottled sizzle project. Would love to see pics of sizzles and hear from anyone else working on a sizzle project.

Don't know waht I'm gonna vall them but I started mine about 2 months ago. I was trying to get a extra good brown egg layer (You know like the sexlink chickens, but not a sexlink), and I crossed my White Plymouth Rock rooster over some red sexlink hens hatched out
18, got a wide range of colors ( red barred, red sex link color[ red/white], Partridge, and white {most of them were white}).
I think my next step is to take a good sized white rooster from this cross and put him over some Dark Cornish (they are about the same age 1 week difference I think) and see if I casn't get a good egglayer with a little more breast meat to serve as a dual purpose chicken. Just gotta wait until these babies are ready.
