Improving my black skinned naked necks and blue/green egger turkens. Finally cleaned them of crests, now working on cleaning leg feathering from the black skin line. For some reason the black skin birds keep hatching with feathers on legs, starting to wonder if they are linked- anybody know?

Also need to increase size in both lines- would love leads to good quality stock or even a hatchery with large sized NN and large egg layers.

My blue eggers have single combs, a combination that is supposed to be very uncommon as the gene for pea comb is closely linked to the blue eggshell gene.. hard to get them apart.

Last year was also working with black skinned longtails and had a cuckoo hen I was going to try for cuckoo & creles but longtails are just not working out well for me, have been selling them off, have only 4 of them at this point.

Sure wish I still had pictures of my past NN projects- bred naked neck frizzled Polish(also laid blue eggs) etc.. the oddest looking ones had to be the Araucana, Modern and NN mixes- selected for rumpless, pea combed and naked neck birds.. Looked a lot like really long legged rheas.

okay, mille fleur cochins, partridge silkie x cuckoo marans... for dark laying partridge silkie"ish" hens.... if I get the right bird, I might try to make some lavender marans.

I need to obtain a better Sumatra cock/cockerel before I can breed

. Once I do that I'll be breeding some blue and black (and probably some splash but as few of those as I can).

I have White and BBS silkies and white cochins and wanted to work on developing some sizzles--blue would be fun. I also have a barred cochin baby, so I'm going to play around with him next spring too. Also, we'll see what comes out of the eggs I have in the bator now. I think I'm going to have to build a number of breeding pens. lol

I'm going to put Brewster (my Cuckoo Marans roo) over a couple of Blue and Black Ameraucana hens to see what I get. The things I'm interested in are getting some olive eggers if possible, and also seeing if I would/could get some muffs on a barred bird??? I dunno enough yet about the muff genetics, but I really love my muffed and bearded birds (Faverolles, and Ameraucanas particularly).

Next week I should be hatching out some Ameraucanas with the lavender gene (if not actual lavender birds), and so next Spring I will definitely be working to get some nice looking lavenders into my flock.

I'm going to have a mixed pen with Araucanas that contain blue, lavendar or buff in their plumage. Just to see what I get! Some VERY pretty non-standard colors, I'm sure.

I'm going to put an overly-dark but otherwise nice Golden Araucana rooster with some White Araucana hens that were sired by a Golden Duckwing, in hopes that some of the offspring will have their father's type but be lighter in color.

I'm going to put a tailed/tufted, yellow-legged BBR rooster with some rumpless/clean head slate-legged BBR hens, in hopes of getting rumpless, tufted, willow-legged BBR offspring.

I need to get some real breeding pens built!

I am going to try and start breeding buff laced Wyandottes.

Mabe buff columbian wyandottes.

I have a white polish pullet and a trio of silver-laced polish that I'm going to put in with a SSH cockerel and his 4 pullets. Hoping to find a combo that looks a little like a spitzhauben.
