Can I see pictures of this dummy?More on this, Toffi seems to like to chew on bigger things such as large toys or tunnels. This may be cuz he’s a big rabbit himself, but that seems to be what he prefers.
I almost bought a bottle today but I didn't want to get bullied.I don’t want to bring up the great water bottle controversy again, but I switched Toffi from a bottle to a bowl and it is so much better. Easier to refill, and easier for him to drink from. I got a metal cat bowl and stand for pretty cheap and it seems to work well.
I was going to buy a bigger bag of alfalfa only but then I decided to buy both types just in case.Once you figure out what type of hay you will be using, stop buying the small bags. They are a ripoff. Either buy a quality bale locally or order a big box online from Chewy or Small Pet Select
My problem is this dummy is a baby and needs the alfalfa. I could buy a bale of alfalfa but I'm afraid it will rot or whatever.Totally this. Those tiny bags are ridiculous.
We use orchard grass. Our feed store is kind enough to sell garbage bags full of it & Timothy to the peeps who can’t store an entire bale.
I couldn't help myself. I won't make the mistake again.Wanted to add that although rabbits have personal preferences, one general rule of thumb I go by is that "colorful is crap." If a toy or food item has been dyed to be a fun or cutesy color (cough flower shaped lava rock cough) odds are it is cheap or unnecessary and can be skipped in favor of something better.
I lost a rabbit once because I used a plastic bowl as extra bowl in the cage while we were on a trip. I wont use anything plastic inside the cage again. The guinea pigs have glass bottles and ceramic bowls. I do have a plastic waterer in the outdoor portion of the aviary but they haven’t seemed to be chewing on it. Ive had issues with the adult rabbits dumping stainless bowls. So on the ground, its metal waterer and pellets in bowls. Breeders have bottles and feeder attached to cage. Veggies and hay are placed on the floor of their box.I almost bought a metal one like this today. I still might.
Shizzle sticks! My bag says simple harvest! Is it bad?I've already sent this to Keeks but I figured I'd share this here too. This was at pet smart by the way
The dummy would love these toys

I would like to be her friend. Thank you.I was in the delivery room when she had her (now 1 year old) son. I kid you not - she was waiting for the baby to drop down and was schooling her nurse about how important it is to alter pet rabbits. The nurse looked at me like "Pls help".
