Calling All Rabbit Nutters

Pics
More random info: mine are litter trained. Put a cat litter box with bedding in their cage and they should use it. They like being clean. No to a ball waterer unless you also have a bowl. They need to learn how to use the ball waterer and can die if they haven’t learned. Vets will neuter males for about $40. They have scent glands that you need to check, and if they’re a long haired type, you may have to help with cleaning down there. Small amt of pellets, lots of Timothy hay, and fresh veggies. I’ve put them in with my chickens in their sand area and they actually get along really well. Parrot toys are good for bunnies - the hard plastic kinds like balls and things they can pick up and toss around. They need their nails clipped.

Yup, the baby has a litter box with plenty of hay.

Don't worry, I've already given Keeks lots of detailed information on all of this.

Alfalfa hay for him since he's still a baby.

It's good to have a few different options of chew toys for them to keep them from getting bored.
I don't care if someone doesn't have a bunch of extra stuff, tons of toys, or cute stuff, but having things like a good variety of toys, some hides to make them feel safe, plenty of hay, good quality food, and a large and safe enclosure is needed. Things like a litter box, extra enrichment, etc. technically arent necessary for having a happy and healthy rabbit, but they certainly help to make things easier and only make the rabbit happier.

What kind of rabbits did you have? Are those some Rex I see?
In my youth I raised and showed Dutch. And later Flemish.
Few years ago I raised Lionheads and then Angora.
Those were just random breeds I had. Dutch, Rex, Lops etc. A bit of everything. It turned into an experiment in colony raising and free ranging.

Alfalfa is usually in pellets. I’ve always fed my babies oxbow young rabbit + timothy hay and a little alfalfa as a treat. Although no pellets = free choice alfalfa would work!

That works too! Good job on the hay in there - I bet he’s litter trained immediately! Is he a mini Rex?
Are you a real life rabbit nutter?

This is my first Floofer. I'm figuring out how to rabbit like a real nutter pretty good.
