Does anybody want to guess what we've been doing for the last hour?

Last I had checked on him was about 12 am.
I woke at about 4 and guess who was gone?

I woke the mini up.
We searched EVERYWHERE.

We found him under the nasty dusty stuff stashed under the mini's bed. Hims widdle butt was in the far corner just looking back at us like we were dumb.

We have been hardware clothing more of the cage and used some wood to rig it for the rest of the night.

I can't cut anymore hardware cloth now.

He is grounded.

It's good to have a few different options of chew toys for them to keep them from getting bored.
I don't care if someone doesn't have a bunch of extra stuff, tons of toys, or cute stuff, but having things like a good variety of toys, some hides to make them feel safe, plenty of hay, good quality food, and a large and safe enclosure is needed. Things like a litter box, extra enrichment, etc. technically arent necessary for having a happy and healthy rabbit, but they certainly help to make things easier and only make the rabbit happier.

What kind of rabbits did you have? Are those some Rex I see?

What about you? What kind do you have or have had?

I've actaully never had a rabbit before. I've always wanted one and I've done research for over 3 years, and I'm writing an article on pet rabbit care. I've been around lots of rabbits before from animal sanctuaries and farms where I often donate DIY toys that I've made.

Though I'm looking to adopt a bonded pair now. I'm really hoping I'll be able to find a neatherland dwarf, and maybe a Holland or mini lop. I love Rex rabbits too, and I've heard that people with allergies do better with them so I'm on the lookout for a Rex too. I also love Hotots, Jersey woolies, American Fuzzy lops, and Lionheads, though the long haired breeds aren't great for allergies.
