Maybe the expense is because not as many vets do the surgery for rabbits? I wouldn't pay that, either. Absolutely nuts.

I just called even though their website says they don't open until 9:30 and they answer the phone!!!!

The lady said the starting price is $225 and it usually stays that price but they're also adamant about the rabbit could possibly die because rabbits don't handle anesthesia as well as dogs do blah blah blah...
I don't want to schedule the appointment until I have the rabbit in my hands but she said I could call back later this afternoon and schedule it once I get it or I could wait until about October to schedule it.
October because she said her appointments are usually scheduled about a month to a month and a half in advance.

Kiki, you’re buying way too many unneeded supplies for that rabbit. All you need is some garlic, rosemary and thyme and then use one of these for a hutch.

I don't think fleece is allowed in Texas.
