Calling all veterans and family members. Allies too.

I know I posted on this thread before, but figured I would add to it..
Hubby is currently getting ready for his second deployment to Iraq. He will be over for 12+months. His first deployment was for 18 months. He will reach his 20 years while over there. When he returns home his is planning on putting in another 15-20 years. Has batted around a few different dates, so not really sure which will be the finally number....
Dad is a Vietnam Vet
Grandpa is a Korean War Vet
Father in Law is a Vietnam Vet
Step father in law is also a Vietnam Vet. He is battling Agent Orange. Has obviously had it for year, but in the last year or so things have gotten tougher...

Our oldest daughters birthday is November 11th. She will be 13 this year. She is so excited to be a "Teenager". At the girls school they have a Veterans Day Program every year. This is the 1st time Jason will beable to attend. Always been away either working or deployed and was never able to be home for it. So our oldest daughter is extra excited this year...Not only is it her birthday, but her dad will be able to attend the program....

Good to hear from more of you. It would be great to hear from more of you. The big day is only a few days away.

Thanks to all that have served and that are currently serving.

My husband is former Coast Guard, then after 1 yr. went to Army -- was 101st Airborne Ranger from '58 to '63 [ I think; I was born the year he joined the Coast Guard) !! , took discharge when he messed up his knees on rocks on his last jump & was taken off jump status (and thus off jump pay), was Sgt. E-5 when he left. His brother Arthur was Army; not sure of the years.

My uncle Jimmy Don Fulford died in June 1968 in VietNam. RIP, Uncle Jimmy.

Two cousins are both on their second TOD in Iraq.

A great big GOD BLESS YOU, & THANK YOU to every past or present service man or woman and their families for enabling us to live in this country and enjoy the freedoms we too often take for granted.

For all you former paratroopers, "Stand in the Door"
