I'm pretty sure she's a old english game bantam hen. She'd been exposed to a rooster but I haven't candled the eggs lately. Been leaving the nest alone in case she goes back to being broody after a 8 hour drive, hoping she hatches them. I've been meaning to find some other bantams just in case so she had friends. but my coop is small, maybe 3-4 chickens. Which means I can't meet the minimum order for the hatchary websites . I'm in CoMo and all I'm seeing for sale are standard roosters, easter egg layers and other big birds. No little banties.
pretty excited because my coop (so far) has proven predator-proof. She lasted the night and was waiting for me to let her out this morning
. This is good news because where I live the trash gets raided by coons nightly. So I was nervous last night about my little hen.

I didn't realize that today was the COOL day of the week. Took my grandson peach picking at Eckert's today. He had never been before. He'll be 4 in November.
