Fresh Bloom that promptly got beat to death by the rain this morning.

I think the rain is just practicing for the soon to bloom peonies, lol

if we’re doing yeller’ flowers, I have this wildflower bloomed right now... I can’t remember it’s name at the moment though 🤨

Wonderful, thanks. We should get home a little after sunset. I guess poor Gracie is wondering what happened to her Pandora music! (She gets to stay in the house while we are gone, there is a doggy door.) But the other dog, who is younger and not reliable, has been out in a pen. He really hates storms. There is a nice shelter out there, but so far he has shown no inclination to use it. (Not the brightest bulb. He has not figured out the doggy door yet either, despite watching Gracie and the cats go through it dozens of times a day.) How long did you say this storm lasted?

Beautiful flower pics, guys, thanks for sharing. My Iris are just budding up right now but the apple trees and wild flowers are going full tilt. The smell from them is incredible. Lots of wild phlox, violets and wild berry bushes are blooming.

Speaking of Voles, how do y'all deal with them? I swear we have enough pits dug in the pasture from our dog going after them that it's almost not safe to walk around for fear of breaking an ankle.

If any of you down in the southern or central part of the state get tired of the rain, send it up north! We are parched up here with cracks in the ground already. I sure hope this isn't a sign of a hot summer with a drought.

You can have all my rain as long as you take the mud too!
