No, Taupe is not sex linked, It is only recessive. It is a mutation from an Indiablue male and a purple female cross.I thought it was, I just checked, Brad leggs posting . It is my mistake.

So is it possible to get a cameo colored chick from my hen ?

Cameo hen, genetically, got one Cameo gene and one female sex gene, which does not have the capability of any color. The chick that gets this sex gene from the mother will be a hen. This same chick also gets one cameo gene from the cameo father. On the other hand, the chick that gets the "cameo gene" from the mother, also gets " one cameo gene " from the cameo father, resulting two cameo genes inherited. and it will be a male. In all sex linked colors, all the males will have two copies of that color gene, and all the females will have one copy of that color gene and the other copy is a sex gene, not carrying any information on the color
