Campine Chicken thread?

No, but really, I am wondering whether genetically the henfeathering factor could have caused Campine chicks to turn out lighter and more clearly marked than they used to be.
Namely as they used to be in the old style Belgian Campine, and still are in the current Braekels.

Compare these Braekel chicks with your Campines above. My Chaams look more or less the same. There has to be some genetic reason for this different coloring, no?

I don't know any of them firsthand, but if I had to bet, my money would be on Golden Campines. They are much more popular here in the states than the Silvers. If you want, I'll call and see, but it may take a while, I am slammed at work.

These are all purebred Golden Campines, but one is yellow. It has all of the markings, but isn't the normal Golden Campine coloras the other 4 in the background.

Anyone have any information on this?

I've hatched hundreds of Campines and never seen a chick colored that way. Where did you get them or the eggs they were from? If they are from your own birds, where did you get them and do you have photos of them?
