Camping

I grew up camping with my parents too... once I got out on my own, I tent camped alot... then got a nice big camper. Campers cost a lot cause you have to have a good sized truck to pull with. We decided to cut back on that expense, sold everything and went back to tent camping, but with motorcycles. You have to be really selective with what you bring, and how much it weighs. But it's fun and we try to go once a yr at least. We love camping along Lake MI.

I've always been tent camping, and plan to tent camp until I get older. My parents have tent camped all their life, now that they are in their mid-50s they're looking into trailers. They feel it would be easier on them and they would really enjoy traveling that way.

I will probably be just like them. Tent camp to a certain point, then break down and get a trailer.
Yeah that is what is going to happen but where would we put the chickens in? If I can remember those Depression eras, they had wire boxes like rabbit hutches in the back of their truck...might go that route LOLOL!

With motorcycles?! That sounds so cool! I've only seen it done once. We were up in the Big Horn in Wyoming, it was probably 8 PM pitch black and raining really hard. There they stood setting up camp.
I think it would be really fun to try.

I want to get an RV that you can drive, but also have a seperate vehichle. My Mom pointed out that if you wanted to go eat, you'd have to bring your trailer with you. Unless you just set up camp.

I find it easier if you can get a van and trailer rather than those HUGE RVs with cars on dollies........easier to manuaver around the roads than that big boat. Oh I do love the big boats but they are not good for tight corners and not good on gas either.

100% agree that they are hard to manuaver and bad on gas.
I have a hard enough time pulling a dirtbike trailer lol, so I probably won't get an RV lol.
