Can’t find where my ducks are laying..

Also, if you vocalize when herding them, like for example, I have always said.."time for birds to go to bed, time to go night night " eventually you can stop the herding and just tell them to go to bed. At dark I go out and tell them all it's time for bed...they run, quack, honk, flap...but they head to bed and all I have to do is lock the doors behind them. :thumbsup
This would be a dream come true, I should’ve stuck to my guns last year! Thanks for the tips :D

My ducks lay wherever they feel like, usually in a big pile of poop, unless I keep a dummy egg in a nest. Then they will always lay in the nest. The dummy egg can even be a ping pong or golf ball. I tried taking away the dummy egg after 3 years thinking they would have surely learned where to lay. No. They need the dummy egg. You might try making them a nest and putting some fake eggs in. You can buy them on Amazon or at feed stores.

But I suspect they may have stopped laying for the season. My ducks are all on break at the moment.

My ducks are all trained to go to bed at night, too. I say, "go to bed baby ducks," and they scramble in because they know mealworms are coming. If I'm a little late they go in and wait for me - not patiently, they quack/shout at me to hurry the quack up!

I did herd them in at first, before they were tame. And then gave them mealworms. Then when they were tame they just followed me in as I called them. I still gave them mealworms. I always reward with mealworms when they do what I ask! I try to give only 1-2 per duck though... Since I ask them to do several things every day.
