Can a hen lay more than one egg a day?

I have 6 hens who lay like clockwork. For the last 3 days Ive gotten 7 eggs. At first I though maybe I had missed an egg from the day before, but now that it has been 3 days in a row, it must be that one of them is laying 2 eggs!
