My DH and I got a roo by mistake as a chick, and he turned mean, so a friend said she would take him. She had an existing coop which we fixed up for her, and took the offender over yesterday and put him in it while she was at work. By the time she got home, no roo. He must have flown over the eight foot fence, which I wouldn't have thought he could. Anyway, now I'm wondering if he can find his way home? We live about 7 miles apart.

I don't think they can, but I hope he does.

from GA. I don't know about that but I hope so for his sake.

Keep us updated. Have you all tried looking for him?

Hi...we're from Ga too. Near Augusta. Have you seen a naked neck roo walking around?? Just kidding. My friend and her three kids looked all night, but we didn't find out he was gone till today. Poor roo.

I say yes. I had this mean young rooster that I absolutely did not want and I wanted to eat him soo bad, but my niece's friend really wanted a rooster for her hens, so I gave him to them. They live about a mile and a half away. By 6:00 that afternoon I see that darn rooster flying back over my fence. I was soo mad

. They never came back for him after we called for four weeks so I ate him. Next time I'll make sure to ask the person that wants one of my roosters if they have an enclosed run or if they live far away.
