Can anyone identify this huge bird??

wow this is silly a turkey vulture would never attack chicken these vultures lack the tools to do any real killing what attacked ur birds was a red tail hawk i am a birder and know my birds and i would put my life on a turkey vulture did not attack ur birds sorry but id place a million dollar bet on it

Eagles soar with their wings held straight out like a board. Vultures soar with their wings in a "V". When we lived in Iowa, the young eagles were all dark, then colors appeared later on. The eagles caught and ate many things.

yeah to someone who is not experienced can confuse a young golden eagle for a turkey vulture

a golden eagle will eat chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks

Animals1981 sorry but they will kill sometimes. Too many first hand experiences say they can and will.

actually, yesterday! LOL I was riding with my case manager for my job..and i pointed one out to her in the sky..
She said that when her kittens were small one killed one.

The crows (or blackbirds?) have been making a noise around here lately. And I thought I heard a hawk. Then I saw it being chased by about 7 other birds....
