Can chickens eat basil?

Our hydroponic system puts out so much basil we trim it with the hedge trimmer! Here, BokBok Choy and Mother Clucker enjoy basil, lettuce, Chinese cabbage, etc.

We'll see if it has any affect

How about dried basil (the kind u buy from store in container) also does this kind "expire"? And would that matter f fed to chickens?
