The other day I got up early because I had lots to do. When I cleaned out the coop, I thought to myself, "If they lay their eggs early enough, I can let them out in the tractor before I have to run errands."
I checked the coop about an hour later, and there to my surprise were four eggs in one nest on the floor of the coop!!
That was about 2 hours earlier than they normally have laid all the eggs for the day. And the first time they have laid them all in one nest. It made me wonder if they could hear what I was thinking.
