I can picture it as humorous as one thing....remember the cartoons, like Looney Tunes and so forth.

Actually, if one decided to do it and the bird suffers, then YES it would consider cruelty.

That is why Mythbusters should do something like this but not on an actual bird but maybe take the digestive juices and balloon to see if it would explode.
