I found I could lift/part feathers ok. My girls and boy are very used to being handled, so they mainly stand still but to go looking for something I haven't looked for before I think I might need 4 hands. Will let you know how I get on tomorrow. Thx again.Of course the first few times I checked pelvic points I had to expose the vent first to locate the bone on either side. I do it myself, kinda hard but I hold them almost upside down or on my lap with an apron as a sling between my knees. It's hard to part feathers with one hand. It's good to get familiar with what's waht back there, then if there's problem you know what 'normal' looks like. I've always been interested in anatomy, so learning chicken anatomy was a natural.
