Can I inject injectable ivermectin 1% into my birds?

My birds recently got mites and I’m wondering if anyone has had success with injecting ivermectin into their poultry. Im not sure if pour on will work on ducks since they might get it off in the water. I’ve heard pour on is not as effective. Anyone know what dosage or if it will work for mites?

Dont forget to clean out coops and nest boxes and treat them as well. Permethrin dust or spray will work.
