Right now yes. I bought hatching eggs off eBay and he is the only one that survived. They started incubating in the mail. I have more that I gathered myself from a local farm. The should be starting to hatch in about 7 or 8 days. Just don't know what kind of ducks they will be. Farmer had every kind you can think of.

Actually he had any kind of bird you can think of.. Almost bought turkey and peacock eggs.

Wow, that's some great info!! Still think I'll stick to the non-medicated though, simply because there is no significant benefit to it. Just my opinion though.

Chick food is fine but will not have enough niacin, so just to be precautionary I would add some b-vitamin tablets to his water (they will dissolve) just so you don't run into vitamin deficiency issues.

You could also do like we would do with dogs or cats and do a slow mix over to the food you want him on. 1/4 new for three days, 1/2 new for three days, 3/4 new for three days, then all new from then on.

I also feed my duckies a soupy mesh twice a day, dry is available all day. Less chance of mold kicking up if it doesn’t stay in long enough to mold.
