the pen is 34ft x24ft an 10ft high in door area is like 18ft x16 ft

I would wait for 3 or 4 more months, it is best when adding new males with your old males is to move all at one time to the new pen. So if you want all of them to be in the Big pen then I would put my pied in a smaller pen for a couple of months then put them all in the big pen at one time, that away no one is the BOSS of the big pen.

I do know that some people just add new males to there pens but your pied is breeder age and your young is not so next year the pied will be the dominant one.

we are just keeping him in there over the winter by the spring the little one will be free ranging we dont want to breed the i.b but want to keep him sence he is the only one that lived out of our orginal 4 chicks. so he will be free ranging on the property i know there is a chance he could leave but i dont want to sell him an we are the only people around with peacocks so i think he will hang around.we had pheasants in with our sp an he was fine just liked to chase them for fun i think was never mean to them he has lost his tail right now just though it was better to put him in before we put the hens in in a few weeks.

You can try but I think he may hurt or kill the little one, put him in there and watch them in case he starts (the older one) to jump, peck etc> you can get the chick out fast.

What kind of hens are you going to get for your Pied???

Pied?

White?

White Eyed?

Silver Pied?

One of those four would be the only thing that I would get for him.

like to add to Steve list.

yes those patterns , but you could also use.

Blackshoulder pied. or BS silver pied.

also any color in pied, or silver pied.

that way later you could breed for other colors from the chicks.
