Hi I'm looking for some help. Recently by Bluebell got really sick, she was very lethargic, not eating and drinking and had runny poo. I isolated her and was given Tylan from the vet. She got better very quickly and is now eating, drinking well and her poos are back to normal. I have now put her back with my other three chickens after being isolated for three days, however my vet says to keep her isolated and continue with three more days of Tylan. Since she has already been back with the other girls am I not better to just treat all the chickens just in case ? It certainly would be easier for me and I feel really bad keeping her cooped up in a small cage when she seems much better.

Call your vet and ask him.

If they chicken got sick while they were all together then treating the flock might be good, but call your vet.

You need to separate her because if you start the others on a course of tylan you'll have to give them an entire course without over dosing her.

Not completing a course of antibiotics is how resistant super bugs are created.
