Can I treat my chickens with Corid and Valbazen at the same time?

One of my hens is still not feeling great, it’s been 5-6 days. I dusted her for mites/lice last night even though I can’t see any. She’s weak and doesn’t want to jump to the roost or even into the coop once she’s outside. How long does it take for Valbazen/Corid to usually take effect?

Also, does Valbazen have to be done once and then exactly 10 days later? I will be out of town and won’t be back until day 12 - I can have someone else make sure they get it but figured I’d ask first.

Thank you!!!
Can you bring her inside where it's warm and post a picture of her poop?

I'm sorry that she is not feeling well:hugs

I think with both you should see improvement within a few days of treatment.
I'm not sure how "exact" the second dosing of the Valbazen should be.

Is she drinking on her own?
Thank you. She is drinking and eating on her own she just doesn’t seem to want to jump… I checked her for injuries but can’t find any. She slept in one of the nesting boxes Night before last so last night I helped her get up on the roost and she slept there all night. She’s poking around in the run But she will stop and close her eyes quite often and even after I dusted her she didn’t seem to want to ruffle her feathers. My poor girl.

I brought her in to wash her butt and do a thorough exam, she was messy because of her short stint sleeping in the nesting box. She didn’t poop until I brought her back outside, here’s a few pictures. I bagged it but I’m not sure a fecal float will tell me anything other than what I’m already treating them for?

I didn’t notice her drinking much today so I gave her a few syringes filled with the treated water and it got me thinking maybe she’s not getting better because she’s not getting enough treated water?! She seems to be getting worse not better so I gave her an oral drench of Corid. I don’t know if it’s my wishful thinking but it’s been a few hours and she appears a little better. She was the only one that was showing signs of anything to begin with.....It’s all starting to make sense to me. I’m hoping when I check on her in a little while that she will have jumped onto the rest on her own❤️

That was a good idea Jenny.
A lot of times they don't drink very well, so hopefully she will perk up.
Please keep us posted.

I found her under the roosts last night, she wasn’t facing the corner and she looked pretty cozy but she was much happier when I put her on the roost next to the warming plate and her buddies. She got down by herself this morning and I gave her another oral drench. I noticed her at the waterer multiple times and she was eating which I hope are great signs that she’s improving. She is still huddling and closing her eyes quite often but I’m not giving up! I will keep you posted ❤️

Finger crossed :fl

She is laying in the coop now unable to get up....she can barely lift her head or open her eyes. I think the most humane thing to do is have my husband cull her, I’m so sad the meds didn’t help her
