Can my broody/mom eat chick food?

hi, hopefully i will have chicks next weekend (3 eggs under momma now!), when they hatch they will stay in the coop with mom, my question is---can I have just chick food in there for babies AND mom? They are seperated from the rest of the flock, but in the same coop

Hi. I have always let my hen eat the same food as their chicks. Chick starter is higher in protien so it helps to keep her energy levels up.
