Can my hen hatch quail eggs?

Hello! I have heard of hens hatching quail eggs before. I’ve been told that the hens might crush the eggs, because they are too small. But don’t quail eggs have a thicker shell? I’ve seen someone put something that looked like metal shells, that you put quail eggs in and the broody hen can sit on them until when they are supposed to hatch, then you take them off. Any thoughts?

I have read a few threads where it was attempted but never successful. Better off trying an incubator.
