We recently stepped into the chicken raising world and living in a small suburb, we went with bantams. We are only allowed to have hens and until recently i felt like all of them were hens. Now i’m concerned that none are. Any opinions are appreciated. If you can help identify species that would be a bonus. I think one is a barred rock, which i think is a roo, and one is a Serama but i have no real idea. I thought the Serama?(tan) and the gray ashy smallest bird were both hens but now idk. Hoping one is a female or my daughters are going to be heartbroken when we start over. They’re a little older than 10 weeks right now. We had a 4th who was an obvious roo, and these 3 do attempt rooster calls, although very throaty and sloppy sounding, and they raise feathers and spar occasionally but not a lot and not long. normally when they are out in the yard after being penned up for a while.
