Can the eye be saved?!?!?!?!

Hi. I have a really bad eye thing going on. If anyone could tell me what it is? There was this white tofu like mass that I pulled out. Here's what it looks like now:

did I accidentally pull out the eye?!? If not can it be saved and is it going to spread through the flock?

The white mass was probably pus. Her eye may be infected from a respiratory disease such as coryza or MG, but other bacteria can be involved, such as E.coli. She could also have something stuck in her eye or have been pecked near the eye. Does she have a bad odor around th head? Has she had any wheezing, gasping, nasal drainage, or sneezing? I would use antibiotic ointment such as Terramycin eye ointment from the feed store in her eyetwice a day, but keep any gunk cleaned out with saline before. If she has respiratory symptoms, you can give Tylan, oxytetracyline, Gallimycin in her water.
