Can they hatch early??? (I GOT BABIES....Pics)

very cool... anywhere from 24-48 hrs from pip to zip... you usually don't hear a lot of peeping until they are unzipping. They definitely will take long breaks and rest so don't be alarmed if you don't hear anything for a while. Sounds like you're doing great on humidity... just keep the humidity up there.

I came into school this morning and had 3 babies. A few more are still working on their pips...no other zips yet. They seem to be having a little trouble walking around...is ok to take them out? More pics to come.

It will take them a day or two to get their strength and be walking well. You can take them out as long as you have your brooder temp at 95 degrees. I prefer to leave mine in the bator for 24 hrs until they are completely dry. This way they are a little stronger and able to get through the wood shavings in my brooder a little better. You can remove the hatched shells next time you open the bator and give them a little more room.

How will the class get anything done today? I would be looking at the babies! They are adorable. I have taken mine out of the bator and put into a WARM brooder. I like to get them out of the humidity and they dry a tiny bit faster.

You made my day!

all the kids have done is sit around the incubator all morning. We have moved them to the brooder and they are doing just fine. We have one more egg that is visibly hatching. Just pipped...hoping well get to see this one. They are very excited and happy. More pics as our babies dry.

Im sure you are all gonna be bored with my ducks by the time I am done posting pictures, but i am just so gosh darn excited!

We moved our babies to the brooder and they are snuggling with a stuffed rabbit.

This is one of my 8th grade girls. She is my little mama and had been the one who was anticipating the hatch the most. We had to pry her away from the incubator when it was time for inclusion class. I love this picture.
