I just got straight run lavender Orpington chicks and was wondering if they could be feather sexed or if there was another easy way to tell. They are about 3 or 4 days old. If there isn’t a way to tell at this age what is the earliest age I will be able to tell?

How are things looking? Any signs of gender yet?

I don't know the specifics, but generally in Orpingtons the females will feather up faster. I believe you compare the initial growth on the wing feathers.
I have some 1-week-old lavender Orps and I just noticed today how much longer a few of their wings were than the others. Gonna wait and watch to see if these end up being hens.

Hi :) I know this happened two years ago, but do you happen to remember if the hens feathered out first? I have been trying to learn vent sexing but I don’t feel confident in it yet so if feathers work for lavender Orpingtons that would be great to know. Thanks!

Feather sexing has to be bred for, it's not going to work on most birds.
