Can you feed chickens steak?

Chickens are omnivores. They will and can eat almost anything. I have feed mine just about anything from the garden. Tomatoes for sure! I saw posted where someone said their birds did not like green beans. Mine don't really either. They love Apple's from our trees and peaches. I have seen them catch mice and go crazy fighting over them!

Mine are the ones that don't like green beans and they wont touch a mouse...I know we tried lol, they ran away like girls!!

Mine weren't sure what to do with mice or slugs at first. So as gross as it sounds, I cut them in half so they could see and get into they guts and meat. Then it was on!!

At my house when it comes to food..... Humans get first choice, then Dogs, and everything else to the Chickens. We just keep a bucket under the sink for all the scrapes and compost. The chickens love it and come running for the slop. Which at times include meat if the dogs are to slow.

Also the hens love processing day when the roosters go off to freezer camp. Never know when a heart, gizzard, or boy parts might fall off the cutting board.

Mine are older now and allowed to freerange. They are animals!! They will eat any critter they can catch. I've seen them gang up and try to take down a squirrel! I've never seen a more confused squirrel in my life. A coon grabbed one of my hens and I swear they were both hoping to get a meal out of it. She put a hurting on him in the dark! Mice don't stand a chance.
