I am new to turkeys but i need help deciding on a breed. Some of the things i am looking for are
1. Must be able to fly and roost on trees
2. Cant be white colored.
3. Lays a decent amount of eggs and breeds naturally.
4. I am not looking for a meat bird.
5. Healthy breeds

I have thought about rio grande wild, merriams, and wild turkeys. But i found out it is illegal to keep wild turkeys in ga.
I have seen broad breasted bronze but i have read they cant breed naturally and they have health problems.

red bourbon is red AND white but fits your other requests.
I love my blue slate and she also fits your other requests, as does my Black Spanish although they are a bit bigger, my big boy still roosts in trees.

I like the black spanish turkey. I like the bourban red but it isnt my favorite. I guess i was just wanting something that looked more natural.
For those of you that have turkeys, about how many eggs does an average hen lay? Also, how often do they go broody?

The Wishard strain of Bronze, free flying, excellent ranging around home, and come to be fed, search the past posts here, Sand Hill Preservation has them, not many others,

The Wishard is a very hardy easy keeping turkey. I hazd them in the 80s and intend to have more this year. They are good breeders and parents.
