Can you help with determine breed and gender...Ameraucuna? Rooster?

I doubt he's an EE. He probably just a hatchery quality splash orpington.

That'd be a very uncommon "though not impossible" breed to get from a hatchery. And those yellow legs don't put me in mind of Orpington at all.

Cackle and Meyer both(?) have splash orps. He just doesn't look enough like an EE to me. Even the various EE hybrids have a more leghorn-like shape.

No telling what he is for sure. Especially as he isn't likely to lay and egg lol.
