This is a good idea! With photos peps with more experience than I could likely tell what breed/mix of breeds your chickens are.
If you got some of your chickens from family it would be a good idea to ask them what breeds they have in their flock. Unless they carefully managed the breedings, it is likely that your birds may be back-yard mixes - which is just fine, it just makes them more unique

(but can also make identifying them tricky).
#2nd - All White Hens, Brown Egg Layers
Lets get some more details on your birds:
- Brown egg layers. Light tan? Dark Brown? (Check out this egg/breed chart)
- What kind of comb do they have? (This BYC article is a good reference)
- What color are their earlobes? (I assume red since they lay brown eggs)
- What color are their legs/feet?
- Do they have feathers on their lower legs/ feet?
- If they are adults how heavy are they?
- If you remember, what did they look like as chicks?
