Can you tell me the colors of my peahens?

Not clear on what the abbreviations mean, what is IBBS, and is IB (India blue)?
I bought the two white ones at auction and they were labeled as BS hen and White Cameo hen. I know the IB pied hen and I thought the last hen was an IB. Thanks for the help.

IB= Indian Blue, BS= Black Shoulder,SP= Siler Pied.

More pictures would definitely help.

That SP is not charcoal. I have a charcoal silver pied and have seen adult charcoal silver pied, and the OP's SP seems to have a patch that reminds me of my cameo bs...
I have a Cameo BS and she doesn't have any feathers in the neck area that are that dark, just a light tan.

IBBS means IB-India Blue(color) and BS-Black Shoulder(pattern).
One hen is definately a BS or IBBS they mean the same, we say IBBS because BS comes in Purple, Cameo, Opal, Peach, Bronze and pretty much any other color.

I would say your IB is probably a regular India Blue, and the IB Pied is probably exactly that. From what the seller said "White Cameo", I'll go with a guess of Cameo Silver Pied, A Cameo split white would just have a few white wing feathers and perhaps a small white patch on the throat. Your's appears to have a lot more white than that.

A very pretty group of hens by the way! And is that your camel in your avatar photo?

I guess I missed the page with all of the responses.

IBBS is an India Blue Blackshoulder
IB is India Blue
SP is silver pied

The hen you think is an IB looks odd to me. That neck color may appear that way because of the lighting, so better pictures like I said would help.

I will go out now and get pictures of my birds.

Does she look like she could be a Bronze to you? I think it is probably the lighting as well, but she looks "bronzey" to me.

The sun is out today so I'll try and get better photos.

. So if I wanted a variety of colors for chicks my IB peacock is not the way to go, huh? I really like my peacock so won't replace him unless he dies but what color male will produce the most color variety, pied?
Yes, that's my camel.

That's a tough one. You would want a bird with a lot of splits as this means he is carrying lots of different genes. Perhaps something like an India Blue Black Shoulder Silver Pied that is split to Cameo. You would get the colors India Blue and Cameo in the barred wing and Black shoulder pattern, some would be pied, some silver pied, and some white. If that IB hen were Bronze you could look for a split Bronze to get that color as well. Just a thought.

So what is the camel's personality like?

Next time I go to auctions I will look to see if they have a peacock color like that. I'll probably find him when I don't need one.

My camel...She is very sweet and always comes over to get attention no matter if you have something for her or not. She does not like being a petting zoo exhibit though, did that once and never again. I have had her with numerous other animals and although she gets along with big and small she seems to like the cows (and vice versa) and her best friends are my Brown Swiss and Jersey.
