Can you tell me what color these ORPINGTON's R? >>>UPDATE AT 16 WEEKS

It looks like the roo has a rose comb and yellow legs, from the picture posted here and the one on her website. Ive hatched a lot of orp and rock babies, and the orp babies are solid colored. The rocks have a lot of tan on them. They look very different.

I think perhaps her roo is a cross of some sort. I dont think its a rock; I dont think blue rocks are that widespread, and he does appear to have a rose comb.

hangin just so you know Gordie in marshfield raises blue orps i believe could always ask him for eggs since we are so close shipping would take a 1-2 at the most i can get his number if you want it from my friend that knows him.

LUKE ! That is great! I would just drive over and get them...I wouldn't take the chance on shipping. Could you give me his info or give him mine? I would SO appreciate that! Heck if I could get some day old chicks even better!

SO I have ALL six babies in the brooder and they are SOOO cute! The all yellow one now looks all white???

OH is it cute. They are perfect babies and they ALL love me already! SO VERY freindly! Maybe they think I'm mom? Luke you will love these babies! I want to keep one but not sure what one. Your welcome to choose what you want after I pick one. OH heck...I HOPE I only will keep one! lol They ARE cute. I have the bator all cleaned and sparkling for the next hatch and It took me 15 min. The other eggs are nestled and waiting in the turner for their turn. My next hatch is a hatch of Serama and one each of Golden phoenix and silver laced polish. Six again

Whew ok I'm going to go take some cute pics up closer of each chick instead of from the top. Will be back to post that. Thank you Dutch chick for your info...please if you can post some picks of your babies

Ok got new Dry pics of the babies and instead of posting every picture here I will just share a link to my chicken journal I keep named "Hangin Wit My Peeps". You can see all the pictures there. There are two pics of every chick. Tried to get a good view so they are easy to see. Let me know if your thought changed now that they are dry. Thanks much!

If all the babies have single combs, could be that the Wyandotte is not the sire of the chicks. You would expect to see some rose combs on Wyandotte cross babies since a rose comb is dominant to a single. Still dont know what you have, though, sorry!

Is this it......

know that with blue/black/splash orpingtons, if you have two blue birds you will get 50% blue, 25% black, and 25% splash chicks.
If you have one black bird, and one blue bird, you will get 50% blue, and 50% black chicks.
If you have one splash bird and one blue bird, you will get 50% splash, and 50% blue chicks.
If you have one splash bird and one black bird you will get 100% blue chicks.
And if you have two splash birds you will get 100% splash chicks.

I read her auction before and it said that roo had very severe frost bite. Have you emailed her with this thread?
